Keep Your House Cool During Hot Summer Months

Your home should be a nice and cool place to escape the summer heat – not a miserable continuation of it. During the hot summer months, it’s extremely important that your home is well-equipped to handle rising temperatures.

Prepare for battle

As temperatures climb, air conditioning units work harder to keep homes at a comfortable temperature. Most all homes leak their conditioned air. On average, homes have penetrations to the outdoors that add up to the size of a basketball. That means your precious, conditioned air is leaking to the outside causing your air conditioner to work harder to keep your home cool during summer. This contributes to higher than usual utility bills.

The best course of action is to seal penetrations, and make sure your insulation is at an acceptable level.
